| I would like to take this opportunity to WELCOME you to Lithonia's FIRST Church, fondly referred to as the "lovely gray granite church with red doors." We are located in historic downtown Lithonia, in the very heart of South East DeKalb, County, which is one of the fastest growing areas of metropolitan Atlanta and close to The Mall at Stonecrest.
We have been worshipping on this site continuously since October 14, 1860 and have enjoyed the rich tradition of Methodism. Diversity is one of our strengths as we endeavor to be a place of sanctuary, peace, warmth, caring and spiritual development. Our focus is upon the whole person, where the love of Christ is nurtured and shared with our extended communities.
It is our hope that as you will scroll through the pages of this site you will easily find many inviting opportunities, for fellowship, service, prayer or worship. Since we are a very active congregation, we offer avenues for United Methodist Men or United Methodist Women groups, music, education, volunteerism, outreach, youth, children or older adult ministries.
If you are new to our area or a long time resident, I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to come and visit. We are very friendly and I would consider it a privilege to greet you personally. Our worship service is 10:45 a.m. each Sunday.
